Boy, you don’t hear about this from Mitt! (He was actually foolish not to use this information from the jump to show that his family had it pretty rough at one time.) But all I get from Romney, as he chats with his country-club chums, is his overwhelming feeling that, if people are not doing well in this country, it’s their own fault for not taking “responsibilty” for their lives. Hey Mitt — how about specifics on how you would help the unworthy 47%. Let ‘em eat cake? Romney has had a life blessed by a good business head, a stellar education, astonishing patrician good looks and a first-rate genetic endowement. What has he ever really had to worry about? So I’m not surprised by his indifference to, and snide remarks about, people who are not as fortunate as he has been. But I sure don’t want him in the White House.
